Role Overview
As the Product Development Lead, you will oversee the end-to-end process of identifying, analyzing, and launching new products for our direct-to-consumer brands. This role is critical in driving profitability and aligning product innovation with market trends across platforms like Amazon and TikTok. You will work closely with suppliers, internal teams, and management to ensure the success of new products from concept to market approval. This is a full-time, remote position where you will have the chance to build and scale products that make a tangible impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the product lifecycle from ideation to launch—transform ideas into tangible, high-performing products that align with brand strategy and market trends.
- Design and create product concepts that balance form, function, and customer appeal—you're not just managing SKUs, you're building something that people will love.
- Lead deep-dive market research to uncover white space opportunities, consumer demand, and untapped niches across Amazon, TikTok Shops, and other DTC channels.
- Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to prototype, cost out, and refine products—ensuring feasibility, profitability, and production readiness.
- Run test launches and pilot rollouts, using performance data to quickly iterate and optimize products pre-scale.
- Build and maintain product performance dashboards, tracking unit sales, ad ROI, customer feedback, and profitability metrics across SKUs.
- Drive cross-functional syncs with marketing, creative, and ops to ensure product stories, timelines, and GTM plans are cohesive and ready to ship.
- Champion the craft of product-making within the team—share insights, contribute to playbooks, and help raise the bar on product excellence across the portfolio.
- Stay on pulse with trends and innovation in packaging, ingredients, user experience, and competitive landscape—bring fresh ideas and bold bets to the table.
- Continuously refine our product development process—cut the fluff, speed up cycles, and focus on what delivers results.

- Increase revenue by 20% from new product launches within the first 6 months.
- Reduce product development cycle time by 15% through optimized processes and collaboration.
- Achieve a product success rate of 80% for new products meeting profitability targets within 3 months of launch.

First 30 Days
- Complete onboarding and training on company tools and processes.
- Analyze existing product offerings and identify initial opportunities for new products.
- Begin collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand their input on product requirements.

- Lead product ideation sessions and present initial product ideas for approval.
- Start conducting in-depth competitive analysis and market research for upcoming product launches.
- Finalize collaborations with suppliers on initial product feasibility.

- Successfully launch new products and track initial performance.
- Present and pitch a comprehensive product development roadmap for the upcoming quarter.
- Establish clear, actionable processes for ongoing product tracking and improvements.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills – Ability to dissect complex market data and turn it into actionable insights.
- Proven experience in product development – Experience in bringing new products to market, ideally in DTC or e-commerce environments.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills – Comfortable pitching ideas to senior leadership and stakeholders.
- Data-driven decision-making – Experience in using data to drive product and market strategy.
- Proficient with market research tools such as Helium 10, Viral Launch, and Exploding Topics.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Experience working in a high-growth e-commerce environment – Knowledge of scaling products and brands at a fast pace.
- Industry-specific certification in product management or marketing.
- Experience with TikTok Shops or Amazon Seller Central.
Experience & Education:
- 3+ years in product development, preferably in e-commerce or direct-to-consumer industries.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in business, marketing, or related fields.
